Next Level Living

"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." -Matthew 6:20 [NIV]

It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, especially as we approach Christmas. We place our trust in that which will not last - money and material things - instead of placing our trust and focus on the one and only constant - Jesus Christ.

This personal blog will explore the topics of leadership, practical application, Christianity, and more - all centered around living a purposeful, NEXT LEVEL, life. We are called to live next level lives, but so often we get stuck on the things of this Earth, things that don't last!

How many times do we all catch ourselves just going through the motions? We live our lives as though this is it...there is nothing after this life. Wrong! Instead of building up earthly treasures - cars, houses, clothes, you name it! - we are called to store up treasures in heaven (Read Luke 12: 33-34) - Next Level Living!

What we all must do to start living on the next level:
  • Evaluate our Hearts
  • Stay Eternally-Focused
  • Rearrange our Priorities
  • Be Financially Responsible
  • Daily be in the Word
The bottom line is that in order to live lives full of purpose and meaning, we must shift our focus back to Jesus and His Word...and keep it there!

I challenge each and every one of you (as well as myself) to live life on the next level.

Are you ready to accept this challenge?

Topics Discussed: Leadership, Practical Application, Christianity

  2. ...the picture "next level living" seems to be based on the idea of earning heaven by good deeds. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
It is this faith that opens doors to heaven and hopefully transforms believers into a life, where they will indeed lay up treasures for heaven.
