I believe in the POWER OF PRAYER. The outcome of Liz's situation is unknown to us in this moment, but God--the God of blessing, the Creator of the universe, our Lord and Master, our Provider, the Peace of our hearts, our HEALER--is in complete control. God promises He will never leave us nor forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:6)
All we can do is lift our situations (our circumstances) to God through prayer. He has put in place the team of doctors to heal Liz through His overwhelming power. It is our job to be obedient in prayer! Whatever you are going through today, know that God is in control, and He is just waiting to hear your voice. He is watching over Liz just as He is watching over you. Trust Him through prayer.
"Well, God never hears my voice. God never answers my prayers. My problem is too small, too insignificant for God. God doesn't have time for me. God won't understand...I don't deserve to be heard." I am guilty of saying one or two of these...are you? We have to start believing that there is power in prayer. God hears every voice, every cry; call out to Him! God answers prayers in new and different ways every day; call out to Him! There is nothing too big or too small for God; call out to Him! God has all the time in the world; call out to Him! God understands--He created you; call out to Him! No matter what you have done, or been through, or are going through, God wants to hear your voice; call out to Him!
Phillipians 4:5-7 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in EVERYTHING, by PRAYER and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Bottom line, God is OMNIPOTENT and OMNIPRESENT. God has a plan for each and every one of us. If you are hurting, broken, lost, searching for answers, call out to God and allow Him to reveal His plan for your life...because I promise you there is power in prayer. As God begins to unfold His plan for your life, continue to live in His will by being obedient in prayer--creating and sustaining an intimate relationship with the One and Only Almighty God.
Not sure how to start? Here are some different ways to pray:
- Simply Share with Jesus What Is On Your Mind
- Think with Your Mind and Heart
- Cry, Repent, Surrender
- Sing, Praise, Worship
- Listen for God's Voice
- Read God's Word
- Write
[God, I lift up Liz and her family. Have Your Holy hand on this situation. I pray that You would heal her, bring both her and her family comfort and peace, all through Your great power and love. Thank you for hearing this prayer, and for keeping safe watch over us each and every day. I trust you, Jesus. In Your Holy name, Amen.]
Remember, it is God's will that we pray CONTINUALLY about EVERYTHING.
Are you living a prayerful life? Do you believe in the power of prayer?
